Designed, tested, and manufactured in the USA, the AEV EX front bumper provides unmatched levels of functionality, style, and protection for your Jeep. FULL-WIDTH PROTECTION. SHORT BUMPER CLEARANCE. The full-length design of the AEV EX front bumper provides maximum protection for critical front suspension components that can often leave a vehicle inoperable after a collision. It also helps direct air up and over the fenders, instead of trapping it inside the fenders, which increases drag and improves fuel economy. These benefits don't come at the expense of reduced tire size, reduced ground clearance, or reduced approach angle. In fact, the EX front bumper sits higher and fits closer to the body, providing a better approach angle than the factory winch bumper. HOT STAMPED BORON STEEL CONSTRUCTION: The AEV EX front bumper is constructed from hot-stamped boron steel (HSBS) and features an OE-quality multi-stage E-coat/powder coat finish for maximum corrosion and UV resistance. Hot Stamped Boron Steel is an ultra-high-strength, pressure-hardened steel that is commonly used in automotive applications to protect occupants from impacts because it is lightweight and has an exceptionally high yield strength. A complete EX front bumper weighs about 110 pounds, yet is stronger than a bumper weighing twice as much. EXCELLENT WINCH ACCESS AND VISIBILITY: Why have a winch bumper if it's difficult to use? The factory bumper allows for winch mounting on the vehicle, but access to the clutch handle can be difficult, and visibility of the winch rope during winching is very poor. The carefully designed profile of the EX front bumper addresses both of these issues, offering ample access to the clutch and improved visibility of the winch rope during operation—even with the lights mounted on the bullbar! VISIBILITY ON ANY TERRAIN. Lighting is crucial for safe travel in remote areas, so the EX front bumper allows for the installation of AEV 7000 Series LED off-road lights under the center hoop using optional off-road light brackets (sold separately). This allows for easy access to the winch and its components. All the various OEM fog light options are compatible with the EX front bumper and install seamlessly with the provided brackets and bezels. If you want to maximize light output to illuminate the area ahead and help cut through fog, snow, or heavy dust and dirt, you can add a 20-inch light bar behind our optional front bumper plate (sold separately) using the optional front bumper plate light mount (sold separately). Additionally, a Trail Cam Relocation Kit is available, allowing you to relocate the camera under the center hoop for an unobstructed view of the trailhead. READY FOR ANYTHING The AEV EX front bumper is ready for any task thanks to two Hi-Lift jack rails and a pair of heavy-duty, chassis-mounted recovery points that have been tested to meet all OE load specifications and are properly sized for ¾" anchor shackles. A 10,000-pound Warn Zeon 10-S winch (or other similarly sized winches) can be added to the EX front bumper using our optional winch plate. An optional plug is available for customers who do not plan to install a winch and want to cover the winch hole.
